As my flight to Spain has been cancelled I have contacted my credit card company for a refund. They have stated that they will only refund the flight costs and not the accomodation because that is "still available" (except I can't get there!!) Are they correct? It is Barclaycard btw. Thank you

Yes, because you can get there, just clearly not by air!
Train, car, boat, taxi, bus, these are all viable transport mediums. You can get there, and so there is no need to refund you.
