the bank is trying to sell me a card insurance protection for £35 which supposedly protects me if my cards get stolen or cloned......i am going abroad for up to 1 year............i was under the impression that cards were covered for this by the company anyway.................do i need to buy it for peace of mind..........thanks
i have cards with nationwide and barclaycard

Nationwide will sell you this insurance.. just call and ask..

I don't think you need insurance. Most credit card providers have that security built in. However, they do vary and you should check your terms and conditions.
In my view credit card insurance only confuses matters.
