this is very similar to what happend to me.if its a work related incident like u say then u will get paid a percentage of what u would have earned if u were still at work, depending on what happend in the accident depends on what u will be paid, compensation etc.but as it sounds if u cant work because of this accident then u will im sure receive alot more than 10,000 pounds.i no this doesnt help now but at least theres light at the end of the tunnel.i had car accident andc coudnt work for 8 mnths,i received 75% of what i would have earnt in that time plus considerable compensation amount.,use a good solicitor and claim company to fight this for you.and as to your debt now and repayments, debts companys can not by law refuse a minimum payment from you if you can prrove thats all u can afford and are classsed as unfit for work.hope this helps, sorry for the long answer!

You can't reasonably expect companies to simply right off your debts -that's unreasonable. You've spent the money so you have to pay it back. However, if you contact a debt advisor at Citizens Advice they can arrange to have interest frozen and an acceptable payment plan.

call the debtors and ask how they can help you - you may have insurance on some which covers you. you need to contact the citizens' advice bureau as they are excellent at giving advice - but queues can big long, so i'd go 15 mins before opening time so you get in soon. they may ask you to come back in a couple of weeks to speak to the relevant person, so i'd go now.

Al Zymer is advising you to set up a fee-free Debt Management plan, which is ok in the short term. Yes you can possibly get credit card debts written off if they were taken out before 1 April 2007. Email granary36@yahoo.co.uk for help.

wait till it builds high and then go to Consumer Credit Counseling first, and then to a Chapter 7 bkcy if CCC can't help. One should never file for bankruptcy though unless they owe over $65,000 and I think you can only file for bkcy every 7 years so you want to make sure you get all those bills in on the first try.
